Alright, let me explain for those of you who know nothing about Hawaii. Oahu is the cool hip happening island and the only one with any cities of notable size on it. Everywhere else is fscking podunkville. Awfully purdy sometimes, but boring as hell.

I'm a wee mite of an Anime nerd. This has toned down dramatically from my HARDCORESRSBSNSWEABOO phase, but it's still there to some degree. As part of being an anime nerd in Hawaii on an island known as NotOahuSoWhoGivesaShit I heard tales of a fabled Kawaii-Kon. Hawaii's only anime convention. I moved to Oahu around a year and a half ago. I had one opportunity to go, but couldn't because I was broke.

This year I have tickets.

Xeno's first anime convention EVER. Oh and that's not all-- I get EXTRA CREDIT for going, because my Asian Perspectives professor is fucking awesome.

And tell me some feasible, low-budget cosplay ideas. I want to go whole hog, if possible, and have a different costume every day. I've got one planned out and halfway assembled. For the first day, I'm going as a somewhat gothy catboy, complete with ears and tail, leather clothes... The whole deal. That's not all, though.

I WILL WEAR THE CONE OF SHAME.

I'm debating if a "Remember to spay or neuter your catperson" sign is too much.

But I don't want to wear the same costume over and over (especially since I wouldn't be comfortable unless I washed it daily, either >_>. So. Ideas?
